Contented....
One word which can truly sum up my state of mind over the past 8 months.Couldn't ask for anything more in Life.Work based out of Chennai, frequent trips to Tirunelveli, totally indulged by my Dad.,attempts by my mom to bring me into shape in vain.Somehow I have been able to retain my lazy demeanor and get away with it.When I was in College i used to wonder whether i would ever be able to Work. Those were the days when i used to be in slumber for at least 12 hours a day.Classes were the last place i used to frequent. Surprisingly , work life hasn't been that bad either.Have been decent at work, yet i remain as lazy as ever, clearly evident in my attitude towards things like appraisal et al. Probably this lazy attitude is due to an attempt at imbibing the basic tenet of Bhagwad Gita at work.Let's see how long I am able to extend this Golden Period in my life.

Here comes the Pics.....

Banatheertham in Feb.

Banatheertham in June

Gadanai Dam

Birds at Gadanai Dam

With the Gauge Conversion work about to start, it may take years for one to enjoy this Journey Again. The meter gauge had an exclusive charm about it.I wish the railways had left this place to itself.

Mannarkoil Gopuram under Renovation

Another View of the Mannarkiol Gopuram. The structure is very different. The temple essentially has three floors so to speak. I was on the second floor when I took this pic ( The previous as well) .In the earlier pic you get to see the second and the third floor clearly.

Water from Servalar Dam as i go to Karaiyar.
Windy....Saral....
That pretty much sums up the theme this time. Was a 4 day trip from the 16 to the 20 th. Stayed in Ambasamudram Gowri Shankar, a decent hotel for a place like Ambai. The usual suspects Banatheertham, Karaiyar were always there in my itenary. Saw Banatheertham in probably half its glory, surely a majestic sight. Made it to the Gadanadhi Dam near Azhwarkurichi. The quantum of water in the dam did not matter, the wind and the seclusion compensated for that. With the Tirunelveli-Punalur Metre gague bound to bid adieu on July the 15th, had to make it to Punalur. With Saral in TN and rains in Kerala , it was a delighful sight to watch. Made it to Mekkarai Dam on the way to achankiol...another windy experiance. Saw the deserted Agraharam in Sundarapandiapuram ,which played host to films like Roja, Dum Dum Dum, Gentleman. Missed the green theme this time as the paddy sowing season hasn't started yet.The pics would follow soon.
