Indian Coffee House T.Nagar...
A decrepit restaurant nestled in the heart of the suburb that T.Nagar is today. Instead of marching into saravana bhavan i slip into this restaurant , every time i visit T.Nagar. The indifferent waiter with a tinge of uncouthness is a delight to watch , and you find far too many of this breed here. To the uninitiated ICH , as many call it has about 160 branches all over the country. Guess time has stood still in this place and that is one thing i like about this place. A day might come when one would be able to charge a premium by passing this off as a theme restaurant.

That amber light in the fridge..
I happened to open the fridge to see what's there inside. Most of my attempts to ransack the contents have turned out to be disappointing. After one such attempt, on closing the doors, i saw the lights being put off automatically.A feeling of deja vu gripped me.As a kid the automatic-switching-off was a phenomenon which bordered on the frontiers of technology. The phenomenon was beyond my comprehension. As i aged i mustered enough curiosity to venture into this supposedly uncharted territory. To my surprise i saw this short protrusion sticking out from the side where the doors were hinged. As i closed the door i saw this protrusion engaging its elastic nature and bingo, the lights went off.At that age i knew the reason but as i aged further i felt there is more to it than meets the eye.Sure , there must be some mechanics and flip-flops behind it , but even after graduating as an Electronics Engineer these things seem to lie beyond the frontiers of technology.
