Satiated to the Point of getting fed up.....
Will this ever happen, I wonder.Perhaps it may at some point of time.At this juncture my fascination remains intact.4 trips in probably 2 months!! On the verge of insanity some might say..but i say the Western Ghats allures you. That's the power of the mountains , the womb of the life-giving rivers, thriving civilizations of this country..The fascination is always there..to some its the Himalayas..to some its the Western Ghats on the way to Poona..to freaks like me..its the Western Ghats deep south..They are all the same everywhere..why not explore just one..It will take a lifetime to do so..Its Aadi Maasam .. the streets of tirunelveli town is bursting at its seams with everybody singing the "Aadi Thallupadi" song on their lips..a few miles away the wind seems to have made its intent very clear..It says
"This is Aadi , and I intend to rip apart every fixated speck from its roots which dare to come my way"
This was the message i got at the Gadananadhi Dam a month back..What a sight it was..
The hills throwing silvery patterns at its crevices, aided by the sun and the mild drizzle. Yes. This fixated speck almost got disgorged from its roots while facing the mighty wind. Cloaked in Poetry , it might seem to anyone who reads this piece. But little do they know that every word written has evidently defied the profound adage in Thamizh, "Kavithaikku Poi Azhagu".......the fascination still lingers......

I am as fascinated by the Pothigai hills as you are and dream about them. Looks like latent aspirations are bursting forth (am from Kallidai). Can't wait to dip myself into the great River at Karayar and stare fascinatedly at the cloudy peaks of Nagapothigai, Agasthyarmalai and Ainthuthalaipothigai. You have now made me lust for Gadananadhi and Mekkarai dam. How does one go to Achankovil - via Panpozhi? While you are at it, go to Thirumalaikovil at Panpozhi - the ghats are at touching distance.
